Support for this innovative and ground breaking project over the last few years has been extremely rewarding, as SchoolTrade’s original vision was to imagine how things would be if most young South Africans left the school system able to think independently, value people, care for the environment and dream great dreams.

Driven by the statement ‘the wealth of the nation is in the hands of its people’, SchoolTrade is looking for solutions to many of the challenges facing our schools in South Africa which they firmly believe lie less with government, academia, big business and international funders ... and more with the ordinary people who have a vested interest in schools.

As a result, SchoolTrade is largely about connecting schools on their network with the extraordinary resources that lie just beyond the gates of the schools: such as delivering educational resources, Life Orientation Courses, providing role models, electrifying schools, arranging career exhibitions, supplying warm clothing, encouraging teachers and helping grow food gardens.
